Nansulate® Thermal Testing Information:

Thermal Conductivity :

Thermal conductivity, k, is the intensive property of a material that indicates its ability to conduct heat. The lower the thermal conductivity number, the better the insulator. The low thermal conductivity of Nansulate and the nanomaterial contained in Nansulate is what makes it an excellent insulator.

Nansulate coating when fully cured... a mininum of 30 to 60 days after application (depending on humidity and climate), consists of over 70% by volume of the nanomaterial we call Hydro-NM-Oxide.

Nansulate® Energy Testing Information:

Two identical wooden boxes were furnished with incandescent lamps and thermocouples at the same positions inside the boxes. One box was coated with 3 coats of Nansulate GP on all surfaces inside and outside. At an ambient temperature of 13C (55F), both heating elements were switched on and temperatures were noted against time.
